Beamtenfamilie; Benediktinermönch; zuerst ist er im Januar 1597 unter den Wählern des Abtes Johann Ahr als Subprior erwähnt. Bei der Wahl des Abtes Johann Schweizer im Mai 1613 bekleidete er das Amt des Priors, das er im Nov. 1612 erhalten haben dürfte. 1617 wurde er zum Propst von Ebernach ernannt. Die Wahl zum Abt von Maria Laach erfolgte am 23.11.1618.
