Studium ab 1614 in Köln. 1616 Stiftskellner. 1621 zum Stiftskustos gewählt. Im Jahre 1626 tauschte er sein Limburger Kanonikat gegen das des Bantus von Piesport in Karden. Als Kanoniker in Karden übernahm er am 14.8.1626 das Stiftshaus des 1622 verstorbenen Kanonikers u. Kantors Ludwig Hillesheim. Die Wahl zum Dekan erfolgte am 12.5.1629, die Bestätigung durch Erzb. Philipp Christoph v. Söteren (1623/52) am 16.1.1630. - Grabplatte: Basaltlava. Geteilt. Oben in einem von einem Kelch gekrönten Kranz ein Wappenschild mit drei (2:1) gleichen Hausmarken. Die untere Hälfte ist leer. Umschrift: ANNO. 1636.5.7.BRIS. OBIT. R(EVEREN)D(VS). ET. VENERABILIS. D([Oblaten der makellosen Jungfrau Maria])N(VS). JO(ANN)ES. WIRTS. DECANVS. ET. CANONICVS. HVIVS.
