Am 15. 3. 1850 konvertierte sie beim damaligen Propst Wilhelm Emmanuel von Ketteler in Berlin. Als dieser Bischof von Mainz geworden war, folgte sie ihm nach hier und gründete 1854 aus dem Erlös ihrer Schriften das Kloster \"Zum Guten Hirten\", in dem sie bis zu ihrem Tode zwar nicht als Nonne, aber als Büßerin lebte. Sie regte 1875 die Ausführung des Flügelaltares der Marienkapelle im Dom an. Schriften: \"Gedichtsammlung\"; \"Reisebriefe\" (1835); \"Gräfin Faustine\" (1841); \"Sibylle\" (1845); \"Von Babylon nach Jerusalem\" (1850); \"Maria Regina\" (1852).
