    "biographicalOrHistoricalInformation" : [ "Akademiedirektor. - Nach Besuch des (ehemaligen) Jesuitenkollegs in Koblenz wurde S Hauslehrer und schließlich Hofmeister in verschiedenen Familien. Zuletzt war er (bis 1801) Verwalter gräflicher Güter. Seit 1805 widmete S sich dem Studium der landwirtschaftlichen Literatur und begab sich auf Studienreisen. 1816 wurde er in den preußischen Staatsdienst berufen, um die neuen Provinzen im Rheinland und in Westfalen zu besuchen und Vorschläge zur Hebung der dortigen Landwirtschaft zu machen.
